Casual Day

An area of my closet that has always suffered was my casual wear. After college, I was so focused on my work and party wardrobe that I never took the time to perfect my casual look. Over the past few year I have begun to purchase pieces that I can wear with comfort that still fit in my aesthetic. One my latest additions to the arsenal is my denim shirt and my wedge sneakers. 

I had a hard time finding a denim shirt that would fit over my boobs and still be comfortable, I searched, and searched and searched until I finally found one.  Lane Bryant’s denim shirt is absolutely amazing! So soft and comfortable, I purchased two just in case I wore a hole in the first one! I paired this with my faux leather Torrid shorts, and Steve Madden shoe wedges. These sneakers are such a fabulous alternative if you don’t want to shell out the bucks for a pair of Isabel Marant’s. I have wanted a pair of Marant’s for forever, but I don’t wear sneakers enough to justify the purchase. Thank goodness for designer inspired looks!

Twist and Shout...

Sooo I am guilty of buying all kinds of things and holding them hostage in my closet. But then again who isn't. I will idolize an item, buy it and never wear it. This red jacket is one of such items. I lusted after it, stalked Forever 21, bought and it has happily sat in my closet for the past year. So sad I know. I found this great skirt at JcPenny! The mix of girly and tough is an age old cliche that I personally will never grow tired of.

If you follow me on Twitter you have heard me speak on JcPenny and how I am in love with their new products. They have a great variety of clothing for everyone, but this revamp is particularly fabulous for the 20's-40's set. I am going to do another separate post on my love for JCP.

Mixed Bag of Tricks...

Hello, my name is Jeniese and I am addicted to colored and print pants. I CAN NOT GET ENOUGH!!! I picked this up at Eloquii during one of their great sales! I paired it with a striped top from Old Navy, and my favorite cobalt blue blazer from Eloquii as well ( I wish they would make this blazer in more colors). I love this look, it is such a mixed bag of tricks that helped me kick off the Fall season just right! Sooo what are you guys loving for Fall?

P.S. My camera was acting cra-cra... That's why my pictures look so blurry...

The Last of The Warm Days...

Shhhh I think it's finally over... You know summer!!!! I snapped these on one of the last summery days here in Birmingham. It was a great transitional look that I often threw a jacket over when it got to warm outside. PS if you have been contemplating this belt from Asos just do it! I love, love, double love this belt! One of my absolute favorites! The temperatures have dropped here so I am off to pull my fall clothes to the front!

Green With Envy

To me there is something super chic about a short suit, or even a simple short and blazer pairing. I know all things bright colored (of course I do). I paired my Eloquii blazer with a fabulous find from Ross, and my new favorite pair of pumps from Aldo (they are seriously the most comfortable pair of pumps that I have.) This was a perfect wear now look that I will pair with pants or a pencil skirt once it gets a little cooler outside.
