I was lost in the world for a few hours this summer when my favorite boyfriend jeans suffered a fatal rip to the leg, that was until I decided to to make a pair of cut off shorts. Thus was born these cut offs that became a  permanent fixture on my body that even my Mother told me were going to fall apart if I didn't give them a rest. Well I didn't and they are still fine (fingers crossed). This time I paired my shorts with my favorite button down from Forever 21 and this delicious neon necklace (that looks very similar to this j.crew beauty) from Groop Dealz.

In an effort to not shop so much, I have been buying jewelry to freshen up my looks. So far I am very happy with all of the results. What do you do when you want to refresh your wardrobe? I would love to know.

It's Still Hot In The B!!!

There are many virtues to living in my delightful southern hometown, currently the weather is not one of them.  It's still extremely hot here in Birmingham. A balmy 90 degrees was our temperature today. To beat the heat I wore my favorite Love 21 caftan and white jeans. I am constantly inspired by my friend Chenoia to put on as many chunky necklaces as possible, so I layered on the turquoise necklaces.

Until I feel the autumn breeze I must continue to dress for our weather, while collecting leather pieces for fall.  I can't even put on a jacket right now without melting. So to everyone wearing boots, jackets and fall sweaters I can honestly say I am totally jealous! I will continue to stockpile leather pieces until our temperatures drop.

Now that I am done with my MBA I am back to regular blogging!  I eventually felt like I was taking on too much responsibility and needed some breathing room. Blogging is a new priority for me so I am excited to get started again!
