I am constantly looking for new inspiration to fuel my looks for the season. Often I love to go back to the basics. So when Macy's asked me to partner with them to find a few spring favorites from their new contemporary plus-size collections, I was all about it! Macy's has such an array of on-trend, plus-size clothing collections that are perfect for each occasion. From Melissa McCarthy's collection, to Nanette by Nanette Lepore Plus to International Concepts Plus, there is something for everyone. From great denim to refreshing dresses to formal wear, it is a one-stop shop for fashion needs. For me it's still one of the few places that I can go and try on plus-size clothing in store!
Every since Macy's announced the Rachel Roy Curve collection, that is available only at Macy's, I have been highly anticipating its arrival. So of course my first pick was this super cute graphic tee from her collection. I love the saying on the front, and I have given you, my dear reader, many ways to work a graphic tee into your wardrobe. You can dress it up or down, by paring it with jeans, skirts or trousers.
The search for new jeans is constant in my world. I do have a few staples, but I have never found a pair that I thought fit like a glove... until I tried this pencil jean from Melissa McCarthy Seven7 collection. They are perfect, and I do mean perfect. I did go a size down from my normal size . I found the high waist, distressing, and color to be perfect. Did I mention that I thought these jeans were perfect? I have since gone back and purchased them in two other colors. I paired the jeans and shirt together for a great look that can easily go from a day at the farmers market to dinner.
I couldn't resist this Melissa McCarthy Seven 7 dress when I was putting together my list. It was bright, bold, colorful and comfortable. That's really all I require in a dress (lol). One feature that I loved about it was the customizable length. You can cut the bottom off to be the perfect length for you! Having the option to customize something is always cool to me.
Go to Macy's and look at all the fun looks they have for spring. You might fall in love with something - I know I have! Have you had a chance to look around Macy's for any spring favorites yet? What have you found?
