Hey y’all! Welcome to the last look for the Curvy Holiday lookbook! We are featuring looks for a Holiday Social Party. The Holidays are the
perfect time for you to experiment with your look! With everything being so
over the top you during this season there is no better time than the present to
try out a two piece look, throw on a fur, wear a higher heel, or try new make
up! You will be surprised with what looks you might fall in love with.
Anytime I go out with friends I always try to take it up a
notch. This holiday season I am trying to continue and push my boundaries and
try looks that are out of my box. For this post I tried this fabulously, comfortable
two piece body con look from SWAK Designs. Previously I’ve discussed my
hesitancy with wearing body con, but I am working hard to get out of my box. The
comfort and fit of this two pieces look was the key thing that made me love
this look. It’s hard to find two piece plus size looks that aren’t junior plus sizes so I
was excited that this one goes up to a 4x. It has ample stretch and I found all of the lengths to be perfect for my body. I paired this with my black tuxedo
blazer and my fur vest to bring everything together and to stay warm! This look is perfect for a holiday celebration and for any event coming up beyond this season.
What are y’all wearing this holiday?

There isn’t very much I am intimidated by fashion wise,
except for the convertible dress. But alas, I am a true example of if you give
a woman too many options I may run for the hills. I was never very sure of how
to tie the dress, how to wear the dress and if I could pull it off. When the lovely folks at SWAK Designs contacted me about trying one I knew I had to overcome my fear. A closet staple
for many women, the plus size convertible dress offers an extreme versatility
that will last a lifetime, how can I not give it a try. I did a bit of research
on the dress and I was shocked by how easy SWAK has made choosing a style and
learning how to tie the dress.
SWAK Designs has a series of amazing styles for the dress
and they have artfully created instructional videos that teach you how tie each
style. As a novice the convertible dress these videos were extremely helpful in
assisting me on how to secure the different styles I was interested in. Even my
Mom got in on the deal and loved the idea of the dress. The style I was most
drawn too was the “Maya Dress”. I found this style to be edgy and very
different from the normal ways that I have seen most plus size convertible dresses
styled over the years. To complete my look I added this multi-chain
bib necklace from Bauble Bar (that I am totally obsessed with) and a simple
pair of nude shoes.
The Eternity dress was extremely comfortable, I love the
fact that I felt like a million dollars and I was wearing a cool, comfortable
dress that could easily transition from day to night as well as from casual to
dressy. Right along with my fear over
this dress I have to also admit that I thought the plus size convertible dress
was a bit of a cliché, but let me tell you I have to admit I was wrong! I am excited to have this classic addition to
my closet. Stay tuned I am going to try this dress another way and post it too
my blog.
Have y’all tried a plus size convertible dress? How do you
feel about its place in your wardrobe?
J
