Wonderful Shopping Experience

I love to shop. Well then again, I don't know many people who don't love to shop. As a plus size girl sometimes all of my shopping experiences are not that great! I get dissappointed at the selections, never can find what I am looking for, and get tired of using the phrase " I will make it work"! As the group stylist to most of my friends (straight sized), I go in and out of countless boutiques finding dress after dress after romper for them to wear, while the little voice in my head wonders when will I find one of these places to shop in. But this isn't a pity party. I do find enourmous pleasure in my online shopping adventures!!! I find wonderful items all over the place to order on a regular basis. My hot UPS man and I know each other by name, lol.

Recently, I was in Atlanta and I went to the delightful Plush Boutique, and I emphasis delightful! It was full and rich with clothing, acessories and swimwear for the plus size girl! The atmosphere was nice, the selection was amazing, and customer service was the best. My girlfriends ran around the boutique looking for things for me to try on. And I have a few favorite items from their store. The Cookie Johnson jeans are the cats meow! I loved the way they fit, how the hugged all the right places! The selection of Monif C, I have not had the pleasure of seeing any of the designers items in person so I was overjoyed to finally get the chance. I walked away with the fushia fringe bathing suit thanks to my best friend Charel (which I will blog about soon!) And the Vitamin C dresses, which are so original, and flirty.

Normally I would have taken pictures, but I left my camera, but I did want to share my experience with everyone. This store really made my day, and I will go to Plush everytime I am in Atlanta. The Birthday Monster!!!

Sooo yes I am the Birthday Monster. I am not particularly obsessed with anytime of the year except when it's someone's Birthday! I think that they are special and that they should be celebrated! This year I will be 31 on July 12. But in an effort to get a jump start, I celebrated early! I always look and look until I find something that I think is Birthday worthy and this year Asos took the cake with the black, asymmetrical. ruffle dress! I lusted after it from first glance! Then I sold a few pieces on Ebay and it was mine!!!! Hahahaha! Next was the shoes! The dress was so over powering that I wanted an almost plain shoe. I found the greatest one at Rainbow for $29.99! I am all about high and low priced items! I think that everyone has a right to feel and look good! I think that we should all be celebrated for our individual beauty and style. That's what finding the perfect dress means to me!
P.S. I also learned please check at Rainbow before you buy expensive shoes!!! Lol... Hope everyone is happy!

Why I Stopped Blogging Before I Even Started

Yep, I gave up again. I am a victim of that from time to time. But not anymore (or so I hope)! I love fashion and everyone who knows me knows that! I love to dress people, accessorize, find new designers and I have lots of opinions on everything. But somehow I let that old self doubt get me again! I began reading everyone's blog and became intimidated by my lack of a dslr camera, my lack of design skills, and well my overall lack of confidence in anyone wanting to hear what I had to say. But this isn't a pity party! This is a celebration! I found my voice and even further I found my inspiration!!! Through Twitter I have connected with a great community of Fabulous Fatshionistas and they have all helped me regain my voice. Everyone has something different to say, everything has a different style! Everyone has a different opinion! I love it! At the age of 31 I have found my voice and that makes me happy. And although it would be great if I gained readers, and if people read my blog, the thing that I am most happy with is that I am trying again, and working to get better and better! My blog will evolve as everyone's has, my still will change, and I am going to get a dslr camera! But for now this is me. I hope you enjoy!!!
