Dots & Stripes

If there is one area of clothing that I struggle with the most it is definitely my work wardrobe. Although I spend most of my day there, I am completely guilty of going for comfort instead of couture during my working hours. I am refocusing my energy on sprucing up my work looks with a few new pieces that express my personal style and allow me to be comfortable. I have also made a vow to find a few pair of comfortable heels to wear through the day as well.

Since I am completely striped obsessed I fell in love with this pencil skirt at JCPenny, and immediately made it mine. It is perfect for work and it is the epitome of my personal style!  I was however, extremely disappointed that I they did not make the matching blazer in plus sizes, only petite and missy. I would have LOVED the entire suit!!!  I mixed my stripes with dots by paring the skirt with one of my favorite blouses. I can be honest though I didn’t last very long in the shoes, my trusty pointy toe flats came out a few hours after I strutted in the door of my office.

So what about you my fabulous readers? How do you feel about work wear? What is your go to strategy?

  1. I definitely go for comfort over style! I sit at a desk all day and don't want to be uncomfortable for hours on end. I really could use some cute basics to spruce up my work wear as well!
