Like most people I have a set a life goals that I am working
my way through, but unlike most people I have fashion goals that I want to
accomplish as well. Goals like owning a
Channel bag, eating lunch with Caroline Issa and finding the perfect pair of
sequins pants.
Honestly, I can’t even tell you when my fascination with
sequins pants started, but it’s bad. I spend hours pinning them on Pinterest, I
pray that a plus-size designer will make them for me to wear endlessly. A few
years ago I bought a pair of sequins leggings from Torrid that I keep in a Ziploc
bag because I don’t want anything to happen them. I love them, but I long for another pair. The
perfect peg leg perfection that I still can’t find.
During Christmas break I was scrolling around eBay and I
found this amazing pair of sequins pants that brought on endless hours of
hesitation. They weren’t peg legged, they were wide leg and they were more Bea
Arthur than Beyoncé. I bought them anyway because I didn’t want to miss out.
When they came I was nervous and excited all at the same time. What if I hated
them? What if they looked crazy? Either way the no return policy dictated that
I had to keep them. Luckily I liked them a lot! I loved the boho vibe of the
pant and I paired them with my favorite turtleneck sweater of the moment.
Sometimes it’s good to take a fashion risk to feed your obsession.
So how do you feel about sequins pants? Do you love them or
hate them? Or are you indifferent?

DeleteI love sequin pants, and I desperately tried to find some this past holiday season that would work for me to no avail. Serious question though - how do you keep the sequins from rubbing off with thigh rub? I am afraid to spend too much on a pair because I'm worried that they won't last very long. Also, when I was trying pairs out, I noticed that my legs sort of stuck together as I walked a bit as the sequins got tangled together with the rub?

DeleteThat is a great question. I haven't had that problem with these cause they are wide legged. but on my leggins it was an issues, but I don't wear them so much so I can preserve the look. Most places don't put the sequins on front and back for that very reason.
PS I am looking for the same thing. My quest is so not over! Thank you for reading.

I love sequin pants and blazers! I want to find a leopard sequined pantsuit and go, like, Jackie Collins Crazy Old Diva just once. Those pants look awesome.
