30PlusStyle: Celebrity Inspired Plus Edition

Blazer-Old Navy(old), Shirt-Forever 21, Skirt-Asos, Shoes-Just Fab Online

Doesn’t everyone have a celebrity style crush? Aren’t there a few style stars that you look and see what they are wearing or how they are wearing it? I know that I have a laundry list of celebrity tastemakers who capture my attention every time.  For this round of #30 Plus Style we undertook the Celebrity Inspired Plus Edition. My style inspiration for this post was the every fashionable Solange Knowles.

It is no secret that I don’t think the Knowles girls can do any wrong, especially where fashion is considered (We will ignore the House of Derón entirely). I love that they take risk, mix high low and that they transcend the norm with fashion.  I always pay attention to what Solange is wearing.  Her vibrant, eclectic style is so timeless and chic to me.  I choose a look from a few years ago where Solange rocked a yellow blazer over a white blouse and mini skirt. What I love about celebrity style inspirations is that they often push you to wear pieces that you already have in your closet.

I will throw out a word of caution with using celebrities as your inspiration, don’t get too caught up! Remember that you don’t want to get so busy emulating celebrity style that you forget your own style. So whose your celebrity style crush?!?!?
