I am back! Sorry for the lull between posts, I needed a
little down time! When pre-fall 2014 collections started to roll out I noticed
that culottes were coming back in style, especially leather culottes! So I put into the twitter universe that
someone should make them in plus sizes. And boy or boy did Eloquii come through
for me this season!
Culottes take me back to a happy place in which I knew I
wanted to dress just like my Mom when I grew up. She wore a camel wool culottes
with slouch boots and at the ripe old age of five I thought it was the coolest
outfit ever. Little did I know over 20
years later that look would be back at the height of fashion. When my pants
were delivered my mother was amazed that they were back in style. Saying even
then they were cutting edge.
I went back and forth about what to wear with these and I
came up with several different looks, but I ultimately love softening up my
leather pieces by paring them with more feminine items. This soft pink sweater
was the ultimate combo for me!
What do you guys think about culottes? I know they aren’t for
everyone, but I love them.
