Let’s be honest 2020 is weird and challenging to say the
least. How we live, celebrate and work has all changed over the past few months.
It’s only fair to say that how get dressed has changed. A huge piece of me
misses the everyday action of getting dressed, the special occasions putting together
my summer vacay looks. I started to notice that when I did get dressed, I felt better,
more in control, and optimistic.
Today I’ve partnered with Lane Bryant to share one of my
favorite summer looks with you. Since our temperatures have reached a fever
pitch, I still like to keep it simple and cool with my looks. This eyelet offthe shoulder top is perfect for pairing with skirt, jeans and shorts. I paired
it with this light and airy chambray skirt. I absolutely loved these palm printearrings they made me feel like I was on the beach (I wish). A perfect summer
look that made me feel so happy.
I hope everyone is staying safe and sane! Is getting dressed
bringing you any joy?
Thank you for reading! Thank you to Lane Bryant for

Can you believe it's almost Summer?!? I can't even believe I'm typing this! Honestly the change of the weather has brought me out of my winter funk, but that's another blog post. I feel refreshed and renewed. I've switched out my closet from winter to spring/summer and purged. Honestly I don't remember the last time I felt this good!
As I was perusing Lane Bryant for new looks, this super cute stripe dress popped up and it was an instant purchase. When I opened the package it was instant love. The dress fit's perfectly! Since I'm 5'7 it a little bit more midi fit on me. It's beyond comfortable and the smocking in the back provides such a great fit. I am between a size 20 and 22 and the 20 fit perfectly. Ohhh and did I mention it has pockets?!?!? I paired it with a flatform wedge to gem hoops to create a perfect Summer look.
To kick off this season I'm hosting a Summer Kick-Off Party at Lane Bryant Midtown Village in Tuscaloosa this weekend! Come by Saturday, May 4 from 2 to 4 and I will help you give you my summer style tips! Stop by and see me!
What are you ready for this season?!
Thanks for reading!

The fall is typically known for rich, deep colors. Hues of burgundy, rust, golds, forest green are at every turn. When I spotted these bright gold pants at Lane Bryant earlier this season I knew I had to have them. The bold color, the chic wide leg, seriously what's not to love.
Since the skinny revolution I haven't worn a wide leg pant in a while, so it was slightly intimidating figuring out what to wear. Isn't it funny how we get so wrapped up in wearing one silhouette that we forget that we have options? The fit and drape of these pants are amazing! I paired it with my new white cape blazer and pink accents.
What colors and silhouettes are you loving for fall?
