I have preached versatility for as long as I remember on this blog. Currently that seems super important during this moment in fashion. Everyone is looking for ways to build great closets filled with items that can be worn for different purposes, in different ways. Let me introduce you to my new closet hero, the Lena Dress from Lane Bryant!
I own several variations of the Lena, from a jumpsuit to a romper to this dress. The fit is perfect with a tailored bodice and a flare bottom. Honestly I was shocked at how well this dress fit in my bust area. Even though I have the jumpsuit, I still wasn't expecting such an exact fit. Now I know why they can't keep them in stock.
The Lena is the perfect transitional dress that will carry you though absolutely every occasion. Although I'm working from home as I venture back out, slowly but surely this dress will be my go too as I'm getting dressed.
I hope everyone is doing well. Do you have anything from the Lena collection?

Bra | Panty | Robe
If you’re not new to my blog then you know that comfort is
key to my looks. If it’s uncomfortable then I absolutely will not wear it. That
extends to my undies. I take a lot of pride in finding comfortable, well fitting
underwear that provides a great start to my looks. When Cacique reached out to
me to try their new So Light T-shirt Bra I was eager to try the updated version
of one of my favorite bras.
The updated So Light bra has a light-as-a-feather feel that
has the same great shape and support that I’m used too. This bra is perfect for
wearing your favorite top, it basically disappears under your shirt. I love how comfortable and functional this bra
is. I spent most of my Sunday lounging around in this while deciding what to
wear. It was so deliciously soft and light that I didn't feel like I had a thing on.
Have you tried this fit yet? Do you have a special bra that
you wear under your t-shirts and knitwear?
And thank you for reading!

JACKET | TOP | JEANS | SHOES | EARRINGS |
It doesn’t matter what time of the year it is, I’m always searching for the perfect pair of jeans. You know, a pair that’s comfortable, but not too stretchy. A pair that is perfectly distressed but not too distressed. A pair that has the right coloring for business but can easily be worn for causal wear. So as you can see my standards are wee bit high, but I spend a lot time in jeans so I want them to comfortable. And at one point plus-size denim wasn't the easiest to find, so when I find a pair I love I buy multiple pair of jeans!
When Lane Bryant asked me to partner them on their latest denim drop, I was all for the chance to try a new pair of jeans. I chose the Power Pocket Super Stretch Skinny Jean and I am not at all disappointed. The jeans met every one of my requirements, comfortable, not too stretchy with excellent structure. A perfect pair of jeans for work, running errands or heading for a night out. I paired them with this green utility jacket that works perfectly for the upcoming spring and summer months.Oh and this tank that I have on under this jacket was so comfortable that I promptly doubled back and purchased more of them in a few colors. You can shop the entire look here: Jacket | Top | Jeans | Shoes | Earrings .
That’s not all folks! This Saturday in Tuscaloosa I am hosting a denim event! From 2-4 PM I will be in the Midtown Village Lane Bryant store discussing all things denim and fashion to anyone who will listen. Want me to style you? Come see me! Let’s find you the perfect pair of denim! I can’t wait to see everyone!!!

Sunglasses | Dress | Shoes | Bag-Vintage (Love This One) |
True story when I was in Lane Bryant shopping for this dress, a man tried to convince his wife to try on one of the polka dot dresses that I ended up leaving the store with and she absolutely refused. I could hear her whisper I would never wear that much print. I sighed and imagined having a Stacey London moment with her in the dressing room, but I could tell she was terrified to try the polka dots. Of course the antiquated rules of fashion have ingrained in so many women that the less print the better, I absolutely refuse to follow this rule. I will wear whatever print I want, whenever I want. Honestly even if I wore all black from head to toe I would still look like I was size 22, cause I am.
Now that my rant is over, this year is truly the year of the polka dot. I am soooo very happy to see one of my favorite prints in full effect all over the place. I'm also really happy to see the plus-size market on trend, on time for once. It's nice to be fashionable at the same time is everyone else! I went in Lane Bryant a few weeks ago and fell in love with two dresses and almost picked between the two, but my Instagram followers made me see reason and I bought both dresses. Because honestly I would have regretted not buying them. This one was so fun and I loved the two sizes of polka dot and the fact that it can be worn dressy or casually.
I went with a size 22/24, for a little bit of room, but the 18/20 fit fine as well. Since polka dots are so classic I know won't regret going a bit over board adding items to my collection. Have you bought any polka dot pieces this summer? How do you feel about them? Below I've added a few other polka dot items that I've picked up this summer so far.
Thank you for reading, you are appreciated!

Jumpsuit | Blazer | Shoes | Earrings | Purse-Vintage | Sunnies- Similar (here and here) |
This year my New Year's Eve is gonna be totally low-key. I honestly might even wear tennis shoes, since I'm still nursing this sprained foot. But if I wasn't this jumpsuit from Lane Bryant would be perfect for a night out on the town. First of all it's comfortable, the fit is amazing and it has pockets. All important requirements for a going out outfit. I looked at this jumpsuit online and kept going back and forth, but when fell in love when I tried it on in the store! Thank you to all of my IG followers who told me to buy it! LOL! I love y'all! The velvet detailing take this jumpsuit up a notch and made it different from my other jumpsuits. FYI I'm wearing a size 22, just in case you're buying it online. I styled the jumpsuit by adding my velvet mules, blazer and these beautiful earrings I picked up at Loft.
Honestly I can not believe that we are at the end of another year. Everything has rushed by so fast. I sincerely want to say thank you to everyone who has continued to read my blog year after year! This year has been so amazing for me blog wise that I am totally inspired to push myself harder and harder to develop this little corner of the Internet. I am thankful for everyone who has left me a comment, liked my pictures, commented and interacted with my in any way! I hope you have an amazing 2018! If there is anything you want to see here please don't hesitate to email me and let me know! I love interacting with y'all!
Thank you for reading! Love you all!
